How to share social media mockups

November 24, 2025

Sharing social media mockups with clients can get messy fast: random screenshots, different versions, endless email threads. With Adpiler, you can keep everything in one place and make it look just like the real thing.

In this article, I’ll show you two main ways to share social media mockups with your clients:

  • as interactive mockups on a preview page
  • as static images for presentations, PDFs or decks

Social media mockups in Adpiler: what’s possible?

In Adpiler you can create realistic mockups for all major social networks, for both:

  • organic posts, and
  • paid ads

We support social mockups for:

  • Facebook
  • Instagram (including Reels)
  • LinkedIn
  • X (Twitter)
  • TikTok
  • Pinterest
  • Snapchat
  • Reddit

And they’re not just flat images:

  • Carousels behave like real carousels
  • Videos are actual video, not just a thumbnail
  • Long copy on Meta is truncated with “See more”, just like in real Facebook and Instagram ads

So when your client looks at a mockup, they see something that’s very close to how it will appear in the live feed.

Sharing mockups on a preview page for review & approval

The most powerful way to share mockups in Adpiler is through a preview page.

On a preview page you can:

  • Show all social mockups together (and also banners, HTML5, video, Google RSA, etc. if you like)
  • Let clients click through carousels and play videos
  • Present multiple versions and variations in one place
  • Collect comments directly on the ads
  • Let clients approve ads: per file, per group, or all at once

This is perfect when:

  • You’re presenting concepts to a client
  • You need clear, structured feedback
  • You want to keep versions and approvals organized instead of lost in email and chat

When a static image works better

Sometimes you don’t need an interactive mockup at all.
You just need a simple image of the ad to drop into:

  • a pitch deck
  • a PDF proposal
  • a strategy report
  • an internal presentation

In those cases, a static JPG or PNG works best — especially if your client or stakeholder doesn’t need to click anything; they just want to see the idea.

That’s where Adpiler’s Image Generator comes in.

Turn any mockup into an image with the Image Generator

If you want to export a social mockup as an image, you can easily do that inside Adpiler:

  1. Create your social mockup as usual
  2. Open the mockup you want to share as an image
  3. Use the Image Generator to create a screenshot of that mockup
  4. Download it as JPG or PNG
  5. Add it to your slide deck, PDF, or wherever you need it

This gives you the best of both worlds:

  • Interactive preview pages for feedback, comments and approvals
  • Static images for presentations, documents, and “quick visual” use cases

Which option should you use?

  • Use a preview page
When you want your client to really experience the ad like it will appear on the platform, leave comments, and approve everything in a clean flow.
  • Use static images via Image Generator
When you’re building a deck, sending a PDF, or just need a visual in a document or chat.

Adpiler is a huge time-saver “Before using Adpiler, we hosted the banners on our own server and created a simple HTML-file to list them all. That took us a lot of time. Adpiler is a huge time-saver for us.”
